Cook was Texas' last known survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor. ABC 13 reports that Cook's funeral was held on Thursday, August 8. The veteran was laid to rest in Houston's national cemetery. The picture is one I took several months ago during a visit to the doctor in NW Houston. Look closely at the plate. I had never seen this before and now realize it must have been this gentleman.
