shortstop
Has anyone had experience building a palapa roof here at lakeside. I am trying to find who does this kind of work. Google sends me to companies in Texas. Thanks for any info.
WideSky
try a search on this board; there is a thread from 2015 and people suggested talking to Lake Taco and La Ancla as to who did their palapas; If you see a restaurant with palapa stop and ask. Plenty down there.

mkshawn
Contact Bernardo at the Palapa Eventos, Tahawi by the Lake. Take the Boulevard down to the Lake from Mums restaurant in Riberas. Ours is getting on in age, Corn Borers or Powder post Beetles view Palapas as a feast. Spraying is necessary to prevent the infestation from getting out of hand. As the wood ages & drys out the problem disappears, expect tiny little holes in the wood & Frass on the floor. Use the wrong wood species and everything falls down. Bernardo knows his trade. Good info from Ferret above

Upkeep on a palapa will be surprisingly time consuming, and costly if you don't know what to look for and treat.
