Here in upper Floresta,  wondering if anyone else is with partial or no electricity this morning?  We have a greatly reduced current into the house - major brown out.   Would love to know that it is not just me...

No problems here farthest south in Lower LaFloresta.

It is my hope that no one points out that i am too stupid to know that the original poster is in upper LaFloresta!

Our power went out in the middle of the night in La Villita, and didn't come back on until around noon today.

We've been advised by CFE the power in SE Ajijic will be off all day today.  Nice to get some warning.

Hopefully this overhaul will fix our chronic local power outage here in this neighborhood.

Knock on wood. Since the new poles and transformers (that seem to be without obvious cuchillos) were installed throughout Riberas last summer, I have had no power outages. None, zip, zero. I am grateful and hope this will be the same for others over time. Last summer was PAINFUL while they did this. No pain, no gain?

New poles went up first, then wires got moved to them or new wire used and the old poles got taken down last. The new poles are concrete and much taller.

Practically every pole in Riberas was replaced. Let's just say I kick-started the whole thing: two years ago, we took a photo of my rotting pole into CFE. They were "shocked". It seems safety was actually uppermost on their minds (probably not mine, but the linesmen's). Instead of farting around, they came right out and replaced it, and checked out similar poles on the street. A year later, they dumped loads and loads of concrete poles down the street and started the "revolution".
