Andoird box for TV Problem

Recommended Posts

TV Tap    (Firestick OR Andoid box) has a new update called TV Tap 1.9 APK (TV Tap Pro).  What is on my andoid box now is version  2.8 from 2018 but when it opens, all the squares have image of a camera overlaid with a  circle and diagonal thru it.....  cannot  use!

I am the least tech person you know.... but have tried and tried to follow the instructions on the internet (via desktop) to take the correct steps to download the new version.  Every time I get to the point of trying to enter the correct  letters etc. in the search bar, it automatically takes me to the  too old version that I already have.  🥴   Yes, Mobdro is  a second choice but does not have the selection TV Tap has.....

This has only happened in the last couple of days.  Anybody have any ideas???? (I know Barcelonaman would know, but hate to bother him when he's not well).

Reminds me of when we used the pirated cards from Dish many years ago now. Dish would zap them and everyone had to drop their old card off somewhere around Minh Wah and a few days later the "specialist" in Guad would send them all back. Anyone else remember them?

Dish Is Suing The IPTV Service Simply-TV & Was Likely The Reason The Service Shut Down

FWIW

Last year SETTV’s suddenly shut down following a lawsuit by Dish. After that happened a new service called Simply-TV. Back in the end of March 2019 Simply-TV just shut down one day without warning. Now we have learned that Dish had filled a lawsuit targeting Simply-TV in March of 2019.

Simply-TV was an IPTV service that offered live access to 500 TV channels for $20 a month. Simply-TV got a lot of attention after Set TV was shut down following an ACE and Dish lawsuit. Simply-TV site looked very similar to SetTV and some on Reddit said it was the same services with a new name. This rumor was never confirmed, and many wondered how legal Simply TV was.

Even after Simply-TV shutdown Dish asked for a permanent injunction against the service. Dish is also asking to take possession of all “devices, subscriptions, applications, and device codes, as well as all streaming devices, technologies, tools, software, products, components, or parts thereof.” Following a no-show by the team behind Simply-TV, the judge convicted a temporary restraining order into a preliminary injunction that also included all affiliates and resellers.

Now Peter Liberatore and Brandon Wells filed a response to the DISH complaint representing SImply-TV. The pair, who are reportedly representing themselves, admitted that subscriptions to Simply-TV were sold through various websites.

Recently through Dish’s joint venture with Bell they have been threating lawsuits against anyone they find out has subscribed to an IPTV service. This is happening through NaraStar’s SatScams.com website. In the past this group went after people using pirate Dish feeds now they are going after IPTV customers.
