JKL
Which documents are now needed to renew a Mexican driver's license? How long are the wait times in line?
pappysmarket
If you are a seasoned citizen you should go to the head of the line.
Guillermo R
it depends on which Mexican state. Do you have a Jalisco license?

What type of ''seasoning'' is needed to go to the head of the line? We are both past 65 and we were kept in line with everyone else, no matter what age they appeared to be. I suggest making an online appointment to avoid lines. Here is what we needed in June at Plaza Las Torres, GDL Original and: Current license, no copies needed. CURP, colored copy and black and white copy Immigration documentation copied on both sides (Permanente or Temporal etc). If you are a MX Citizen, you can use your Tarjeta de Votar Passport color copy of photo page and information page Current utility bill. If Telmex all of the pages. We used CFE and just needed a copy of the front of the bill. INAPAM or DIF card copied on both sides if you want a 50% discount. They did not ask my husband for his copy but asked me, I must look younger! Take everything you think you may need, just in case... There are copy places near each renewal location. kmetzger
I thought the Chapala office was going to start issuing licenses this month. Has anyone heard the latest?

Last time I renewed, in PV, I was in line for about 1 minute before someone working there came and escorted me to the front of the line. I got the seasoned discount without asking or being asked for any DIF card, etc. I'm 71 and thought I looked younger but I guess not, LOL.
