Eric Blair
I went round-and-round with Interjet about not having to pay the UK (Tourist Visa) fee because I have a permente. After my wife talking to a couple of agents in Spanish, and I to three agents in English, I was told they only go by your passport. Other than a Mexican PP, you pay for a tourist visa. You can write for a refund, but if you look at historical posts, you will see your chances of getting it from Interjet are .0000% I think this applies even if you go through a T.A. here. Don't forget, if you knew, Interjet doesn't have the "You can cancel within 24-hours at no charge" policy. It's in their Contract of Carriage. I finally got a better deal on Alaska Air. Two takeaways. 1) Mexican law, as you may know, says you don't have to pay the tourist visa fee, and 2) If you should make the mistake of filling out the form for a tourist visa and get one, you may very well endanger or even lose your permente status, or at least go through hell explaining.
vetteforron
Another good reason to go all the way. I only use my U. S. passport when I travel to the U. S. Coming back and everywhere else I use my Mexican Passport. Plus because of my age my passport half price.
