Travis 675
CONGRATULATIONS MAS46 on your first sighting! (Here's you're award 💰💰💰.) It sprinkled tonight around 11:30 in Ajijic. Lightening and everything. It's an exciting time of year while we all wait for the big stuff.
dichosalocura 572
Sprinkled in Ajijic? It rained heavy here in Chapala for about 30 minutes or so. Down by the lake, Madero turned into a temporary river.
sputnik 57
border of San Antonio and Riberas poured down 30 minutes also.....love the rain !!!

Most all races start from a stop position, so this was the start. Who is saying that one rain is the "rainy season". We can discuss that in oct/nov. I think most folks are just glad to see the start. Lucky you guys. Dip in the jet stream north of us forcing drier air in, it will be a few days before it can reassert.
Iron Sheik 3
4 AM monday, south side of the lake (San Cristobal Zapotitlan) almost an inch.
Mainecoons 5,165
Lucky you too. Right now circulation over this area is south to north which would support rain on the south side of the lake. Needs to become more easterly for the real rain to start here. Enjoying the slight cool down though!
Bisbee Gal 1,857
I could hear the thunder off in the distance early AM; at least the cloud cover is keeping our temperatures down a bit.
slainte39 1,583
We had "real rain" last night in the Raquet Club, at least it was a wet rain. Don´t know if that makes it real or not. I guess there are places where people dream of rain.
757 46
Rain in Chapala now.
Mainecoons 5,165
Yes, nice not very heavy rain started in Ajijic around 5AM. Finally relief from the dust! Moisture pushed further west overnight as the southerly flow that has been blocking it eased up. Jet stream predictions look pretty good going forward. Could be a relatively early start this year. bmh 2,364
Just like in Chiapas where it started a couple of weeks ahead...early May 😊
