Up here I'm and expert. During the 9 month rainy season, I can say that I am 85% right by declaring it's going to rain every day, :)

According to the Director of the Institute of Astronomy and Meteorology (IAM), of the University of Guadalajara (UdeG), doctor Hermes Ulises Ramírez Sánchez.........the rains will begin later this year, around the beginning of July , and will last later.  There will be isolated showers earlier but they will not be the start of the season.

Lluvias llegarán tarde a Jalisco: UDG

This is possible given the continued procession of colder air to the north of us.  The jet stream continues to dip south, until that stops we  may not see much rain.

Rainy season still not here as the monsoon jet continues to be held south and the westerly winds continue strong.  Going to be quite late this year I think.  Some meteorologists have been predicting this, looks like it will happen.

Alpha1 takes the prize this year.  Last night put us over the 1" top. Expect a somewhat sporadic rainy season but it could also be another long one like last year.

Everyone is a winner with the break in the heat, and the dust!

This shows why the rainy season is having problems getting going though.  Notice how far the front has intruded into the north of Mexico and how far the monsoon flow is shoved south.
