FUNKY BALL FUNDRAISER - CHAPALA HIGH SCHOOL

Recommended Posts

American Football Scores in Chapala

The Chapala High School, which is a feeder school to the University of Guadalajara, now has American style football teams. Both men and women's teams.

One of the mothers, and manager of the team contacted LCS to see if we had interest in supporting this new endeavor. This is considered an extra curricular activity and school funds do not support it.  As part of LCS' mission and vision of enriching our community's quality of life through the exchange of knowledge, expertise, culture, heritage and language we feel compelled to support this petition. After all with all of the NFL and CFL fans among us, we are likely new booster for the local High School.

We made a deal with the team - if they plan and execute a fundraiser at LCS we'll divvy the proceeds in their favor to help them with their upcoming season expenses. Since them team members have been meeting with our events team and planning the Funky Ball.

On June 7 the kids are hosting a carnival from 4-7 with a Funky Ball (so you can dance our cleats off) from 5-9, featuring music from the local teenage sensations The Waynes.  Please come and support this cross cultural event, wear your favorite football jersey and play carnival games and dance the afternoon away. Hot dogs and hamburgers on the menu. $250/person, admittance only.
