Changing lawyers

Recommended Posts

I am moving from Morelia to Cuernavaca, about a year ago I sued an insurance company, in Morelia, the matter has not settled yet.

The lawyer here in Morelia tells me that I can not transfer the litigation to Cuernavaca, but I have to continue it in Morelia is he correct?

Thank you

Of course he is correct. The same applies in any jurisdiction in the world. Courts aren't going to follow you around for your sole convenience, just because you moved from where the litigation was initiated, now are they!

I don't see why you would doubt your own attorney. And, of course, happyjillin is right.
