kimanjome
Over here in San Antonio my internet service continues to die out every few minutes, and I have to go unplug the modem, plug it back in, hop on my computer and russssssh to get anything I need finshed before the internet dies on me again. Rinse, repeat. I have cleaned my computer cache, reset the DNS on my computers, and unplugged my Netgear extender. Things speed up...for a few minutes. Then whoosh, the internet stops working. My modem shows a signal and all lights flashing (or not flashing) as they are supposed to. This is affecting all 5 computers and 3 users in our house. I am thinking that I need to reset the modem. Or, what? Thanks for your help!
ComputerGuy
Yes, try a factory reset, by sticking a pin in the little hole on the back for 30 seconds or so, until all the lights start acting differently. Then wait about 5 minutes for the Internet to come back, and try again. If it doesn't work, either your modem is malfunctioning, or TelMex should be called to check. 01-800-123-2222, Mexico City, ask for "English, please".
