IMPORTANT. JOCOTEPEC. Major zoning change. West of Cerro Garcia. High density residential.4 days left.

A major change is being proposed for the hills to the west of Garcia Mountain. Between San Pedro and San Cristóbal. Will change 100s of Hectares from Rustic and Ranch land to zoning for smaller lots.

The Pre-Plan basically will allow higher density developments ( From 160 to 300 meter lots) from the highway up to approx. 2 kms up the mountain. This will override the current Ecological plan for Jocotepec  of which most of the higher grade areas and mountains are established as a green belt.  

This type of development has already started in this area with thousands of lots planned.

 

Not much feedback has been received. Please comment as indicated below.

The  San Pedro-San Cristobal-El Sauz  ( Jocotepec)   Zoning plan is in the Consultation Stage. Public Consultation and Opinions will be received until de 17th of May, Municipality of Jocotepec. This is exclusively for de Delegations of San Pedro, San Cristobal and El Sauz.

The Pre-Project is available for viewing. Office of Desarollo Urbano. Hidalgo Sur. 187 Third Floor  Jocotepec Jalisco.

All Residents, Groups ( Home Owners) etc that have an interest in this zoning can present their opinions by email or in writing  (Probably better) until the 17th of May. Email- contacto@jocotepec.gob.mx
