Go Solar
Great news for calling both within MX and to it, from outside.... https://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowTopic-g150793-i46-k12385914-Reminder_Simplified_phone_calling_begins_on_Aug_3_2019-Puerto_Vallarta.html
John Shrall
But the change also institutes nationwide 10 digit dialing. This means local calls will be 376-76x-xxxx. Not a really big deal once you get used to it. I used to live in Dallas and they went to 10 back in 1999 when the 214 area code filled up. With 10 digit dialing and no more 04x for cell phones this would seem to open the door for possibly dropping the Telmex land line and going to cell only. Go Solar
Overall easier and more standardized both within and from outside MX, IMHO, and agree, it can only accelerate the land line defections, especially with the "quality" of speed & service on the DSL especially....😜
johanson
I know that in my part of the State of WA (perhaps the whole state) went to 10 # dialing maybe one or two years ago, and that the greater Vancouver, BC area if not the whole province did so before we did. In fact didn't all of Canada and the USA already go to the 10 number system?
