When she gives up the walker, she wants to try a couple of the "ski poles" modified for terra firma. What are these called? Where does one buy them? Are they available in the Chapala area? As someone who has used them for a long time, starting with hiking and snowshoeing many years ago, you want to look for adjustable, spring tip, light weight but strong metal.
