New restaurant next to Forest Grill and the old Pepe and Aroras

very good, great selection of steaks and all kinds of burgers, lamb , beef shrimp salmon, ostrich etc..  Had the beef burger, it was very good.  Others had the ribeye and also liked it.  The steak prices are the lowest around.  Tempura veggies and shrimp very light batter, nice We will be back!

For those of us not familiar with these restaurants, could you tell me where it is located?  Thanks.

No they have moved

I know the kid who runs the place moved, but I thought he was calling it something else, serving "gourmet" food out of his house... I must have missed something.

There is no nursery near them.

They are in the old building that used to be a bazaar.   Next door to the Forest Grill and the old Pepe and Arora's restaurant.   Mountain side of the Carretera jus past La Huerta, Tues. market

I quoted your review to my frequent diner friend, and she said she went there with a group when it first opened, but found the chairs so uncomfortable that she couldn't enjoy the experience.  Backless?

We had chairs  with  backs we were inside and there were tables outside with regular chairs so I don’t know if you opted to sit at a hightop but the  restaurant they have plenty of chairs with backs.

Our chairs were comfortable enough. There were some highchairs out front that didn't look too inviting; might have been left over from M & J, which were definitely a stretch.

We were the only ones there tonight (Saturday). Prices are extremely reasonable: $103p for a shrimp dinner al gusto, or camarones momia wrapped in bacon. LARGE, properly trimmed and cooked. Can one complain about too much cheese? Had the "tempura": thick slabs of vegetables in a heavy batter that tasted okay, but it was tempura, and it was very greasy. Still, I like deep-fried.

A good menu selection of interesting salads and inexpensive steaks, although I have no idea the size or quality. Only the arrechera was pricier, at $169. The rest were around $105, $110p.

Also ordered a buffalo burger to go. Moist and delicious (unlike the place opposite Diane Pearl's in Ajijic, which was dry and unappetizing), with paper-thin sweet potato fried chips. $105p.

Definitely going back to try other items.
