John Shrall Posted January 9, 2020 Report Share Posted January 9, 2020 I believe the comments about color copies being illegal or at least not valid refer to physical pieces of ID like a Mexican Passport, driver's license, IFE/INE card and Carta de Naturalización, the Mexican birth certificate issued when naturalization is complete. No Mexican birth certificate is issued when naturalization is complete. Color copies of official documents or cards are not legal. The Carta de Naturalización is often referred to as a birth certificate as it reflects the day one becomes a citizen but you're right that it is not a birth certificate in the true sense. slainte39 Posted January 10, 2020 Report Share Posted January 10, 2020 A Carta de Naturalización is in no way considered, referred to, or considered the same, as the Acta de Nacimiento by the Mexican Government. They are no longer valid for government requirements. Takes 2 minutes to print a new original color barcoded CURP online. It is free. If you don't have a color printer stop at one of the many internet rooms and pay a few pesos to use their computer & printer then print a few to use if needed this year.
