DennisSira
So, something I was wondering... Any folks around Lakeside play D&D or other RPGs?
CHILLIN
The most popular role playing game in these parts is called "Border Promotion". You will not believe how many former C.I.A. operatives that are living here.
johanson
Had any of you ever been to the CIA coffee shop in Ajijic before it closed? It was in a building with a very tall antenna on it. And I am not lying The only thing was that the very tall antenna was not used by the CIA, rather it was owned and used by the first internet service provider lakeside, Lagunanet; and the initials CIA, did not stand for The Central Intelligence Agency but stood for the Café Internet Ajijic. But talking about border promotions, we sure did have fun telling others about how we had access to the CIA coffee shop because we so important etc, etc. Those were the good old days. mexjerry
haha! when I bought the house, it had a lagunanet antenna, still have the sparklan interface, a spk-148, and antenna, does this still work? OHHH, connect: CIA, yea, no connection!
CHILLIN
You can still use Lagunanet, but you have to construct a farraday cage, which is pretty difficult. The home alternative to a farraday cage, is this handy antenna, which concentrates the old signal, and blocks out foreign signals, even from outer space. OHHH, connect: CIA, yea, no connection! I too still have my Lagunanet antenna. And it would work if Lagunanet were still in operation lakeside and if the antenna was still pointed toward the Lagunanet antenna.
