sunshine1
Is there a place locally vs. going into Guad to have an ultrasound done on the knee...
johanson
I was sent to Guadalajara two weeks ago for an ultrasound by Dr. Garcia of Maskaras Clinic. I know that the new Hospital that Maskaras Clinic is building already has an MRI and will have other equipment perhaps to include an Ultrasound machine. They are scheduled to open next month. Jreboll
Rather hard to get good views with an ultrasound because bone doesn’t allow penetration of sound waves. You might get a better diagnosis with an MRI.

Bisbee Gal
I was sent to Guadalajara by Mascaras for a Doppler Ultrasound of my leg (looking for a blood clot) last year. It depends on what the doctor is looking for in the OP's knee area, as to what test they need.
Jreboll
If you’re looking for a clot or an obstruction you do a large area since you don’t know where it might be. Since he specified the knee I assumed it was a bone, ligament or cartiledge problem.
geeser
There is an imaging clinic in Chapala that does ultrasounds. Had one on my late gallbladder 4 years ago there. Dr Lastra gave me directions and I took the results back to him. UNDIMA lab in Chapala at Zaragoza #361
Jreboll
Ultrasound is done for soft tissue viewing such as abdominal organs, vascular and cardiac. Also thyroid, eye ball and prostate. Bone and air pockets impede ultrasound viewing.
Floradude
Ultrasound is done at the Xray place across the parking lot from Qualty Care.
