Ferret
At the rate they've been getting snow up there in the last couple of years, Vancouver may finally have to spring for some snow plows. It used to happen so rarely and be cold enough so infrequently that they'd just wait for it to melt. A little snow could bring the whole city to a standstill. I have a stepson who lives on Saltspring Island... he's not happy with the "climate" lately.
johanson
Salt Spring Island is not a small Island, but looking down upon it from Duncan, on the Big Island (AKA Vancouver Isl), it looks so small.

This might help you remember the difference: If you turn on the TV to a weather report, the person you see is a weather man never a climate man (or woman of course). Now, why do you think that "climate" was put into quotation marks?????

It is now climate PERSON.
