It should have been 8 or 9 pesos for a short haul, depending on the bus. I ride the bus quite a bit and for a short haul I always give them 10 pesos and receive a peso or two back. The direct buses from Chapala to Joco are nicer and tend to charge a peso or two more than the older buses which go through the pueblo. Since you got on at the pemex you were on a newer bus. court0503 Posted January 16, 2019 Report Share Posted January 16, 2019 That trip is 7 pesos on the buses that ‘bajan’- the ones nes that leave the carretera and travel through the lower village, the smaller yellow buses and some of the smaller red ones.
