He is my GP medical Doctor and has been for some 20 years. I have never had a problem with him. However I have no idea if he has had specialized training in ENT or not. I wish you the best with your health issue.

There is a young ENT female at Maskars clinic one or two days a week, I cannot recall her name, but she is really good and I am a healthcare professional.  I recommend her.  Just ask at Maskaras.

was referred to Dr Gerardo at Puerto Hierro Sur, which is almost walking distance form Costco on the south side of Guad. He speaks perfect English, is a Harvard graduate, and easy to get to. his number is 33 3612 7372. He has an English speaking receptionist that comes on duty at 4 pm

To your health!

I have suffered inner ear infections, always this time of year. I walk around like a drunken sailor! I think I am allergic to those orange African Tulip Tree flowers. All the rest of the trees don't bother me. The problem for doctors is that there is no easy access to your inner ear. What I found works is to order a strong nasal sprayer on the internet (I bought a "snoot" on Amazon - glass bottles, 2 for $6.95). Buy a solution of silver colloid (this is silver dissolved in water and clay - it has no taste whatsover) easy to find locally. I use a tiny bit of black salt - which is pretty exotic, I know, but it has a lot of natural sulphur compounds in it. Mix the salt to the level of a mild saline solution. Spray your sinuses, tilt your head to get the side ear ones. At least twice a day, but this is non-toxic. How does it work? Silver Colloid is one the few treatments which kills Staphoccus Aurelia bacteria, which is responsible for 33% of sinus and ear infections. Sulphur kills bacteria too, but I don't have any articles on that. My ENT at Quality Care wanted a Tomography scan, to make sure there is nothing evil happening in there, but I haven't done that.

Sinuses can also be impacted by dental hygiene and health. From the sinuses it can travel via the Eustachian tubes to the ear. Antibiotic resistance is rampant and they (wrongly) use broad spectrum antibiotics here. It's like using a gatling gun when you need a sniper. And you can't use the sniper until a culture has been done to identify what is infecting the ear or sinus and do sensitivity testing on the organism. Sorry, I love microbiology. It was my favourite area of the lab.

So how would a doctor be able to sample tissue and collect samples from the deep inner ear? Endoscope would not work. I guess they could remove your eardrum temporarily, but nobody would want to go for that.

Not sure how to do that?

No worries. I checked out Dr. Aceves and he is not the microbiologist of whom I was thinking. However, I also don't have any knowledge or experience with him. Sorry.

This journey should start with a sinus culture. It probably travelled from there to the ear.
