Orygun Duck
For those headed for Melaque, Barra or Manzanillo on the toll road. As of noon today there is gas from Cd. de Guzman south.
MtnMama
Riberas Pemex is open, line took 3 hours. There are lines in both direction on the Caraterra and one on the street going toward the lake. I was in the lake line, no idea how fast the other lines moved. cedros
Some one just sent me the following; "said that he was using an app called ‘gasgas’ and we could download it to our iPhones. You can see where gas is and isn’t in Guad, Chapala, San Juan Cosala, Jocotepec, etc. You won’t be thrilled with what you see ... also long convoy of gas tankers escorted by the military may have arrived in Guad, but the cartels ambushed and took one of the trucks. The driver was found unhurt."

Irish Gal
Yesterday I waited at the BP on the Libramiento for four hours for gas and no gas was available. Tonight when I passed by the Libramiento, there was a long line up of cars and I believe that gas was available. This afternoon I waited one and a half hours in line at the Riberas station and was able to 500 pesos maximum.

Is the app correct? Yes, it is correct, at least to a point. I'm not sure of the accuracy of the "social" aspect that has users reporting where gas is and isn't, but if you pull back on the map you can see the other stations in the area. Stations with gas show a price; stations without show AGOTADA. At 11:48 pm Wednesday night, Riberas and the Libramiento are shown as pumping. cedros
The next day. The gasgas app still shows the same so you have to wonder how often it is updated.
ComputerGuy
GasGas still shows the same two stations, but if you tap either one you will also see a breakdown of which type of gas... for example, right now Riberas says no Premium. I do find it hard to believe they have been pumping all night long, though...
cedros
The gas station east of Piedra Barrenda had gas this morning but it did not show up on the app.
ComputerGuy
Yes, was just informed of that. Since this app relies on people to sign up and notify it, I'm guessing (as with so many phone apps here) there just aren't enough people with the app to make it worthwhile. Which makes it less than worthwhile. It's like asking Google Maps for local pizza joints.
HoneyBee
Got gas this morning at the BP on the libriamento. Only waited about 10 minutes. As I was in line, I saw a semi Pemex tanker headed towards Ajijic. May be hope...
