hilobarbie
Anyone have any idea when electricity will be turned back on below Mirasol? It went off this morning and has stayed off. They finished running new cable through this area several weeks ago. And no, we didn't get any notice that it would be off.

ComputerGuy
They are still on the carretera right now... just drove past them at 5pm (Thursday). Power was off at many businesses on the highway through Riberas. I would say they are tidying up from previous works. And they plan to go until 8pm. Fortunately for me, even though my street was mentioned, I did not lose power. But, there is always tomorrow...
hilobarbie
Wow! Aren’t you lucky to be notified. We received paper notices when the cable running was going on and they were really appreciated. No tubs of water this time to rinse dishes, flush toilets, clean hands or pitchers of water to cook with drink from. Oh well, just glad to know what is going on and I do appreciate your post. Ferret
I got caught flat footed because my street wasn't listed. Sigh. New poles look great... tall and sturdy. I hope (again) that this is the end because it's being going on for about two and half months now.
ComputerGuy
Yeah, I filled up a couple of buckets today, just in case, but I was forewarned. Not much point in keeping buckets of water around otherwise. BUT a guy is coming tomorrow to add a manual override switch for my tinaco, so that when the power goes off, I can still get gravity-fed water. ronhereagain
Power actually came back on in lower Riberas at 9:05 pm, they're really working late!
