I friend of mine clicked on one of her favorites and the message she got was "System down, and that was last night. This morning she got the same message. Any suggestions? Muchas gracias. ComputerGuy Posted November 13, 2018 Report Share Posted November 13, 2018 I briefly lost Classic 193 (MSNBC) this morning. Did not notice other channels. It came back by itself. johanson Posted November 13, 2018 Report Share Posted November 13, 2018 And of course only those receivers numbered 600 and 800 and above can receive the new Mpeg4 signals. And as Shaw continues to upgrade from the old Mpeg-2 to the Mpeg-4 digital signal compression, the older 500 series and smaller numbered receivers will no longer work on those channels upgraded because they can not decode the newer Mpeg-4 format but that is a permanent outage for those with older receivers, not a new and temporary outage of the type mentioned by Sandrita. I only know that none of the few channels I have been watching on and off today are coming in fine. But there are many many other channels that I wasn't watching that might have gone out.
