geeser
Has anyone seen a wireless card for sale for a desktop tower for sale at lakeside? Having to move my computer and the wireless card would make it easier. Or does anyone have one they would part with?

MarkWebles
Sterens. Located at the east end of the plaza fronting Walmart. Make sure you know what type of PCI card slot you have. They are not interchangeable. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/307880-30-motherboard-slots
ComputerGuy
I'd recommend a USB WiFi adapter. It will plug into a USB slot on the front of your tower, which is a better location than the PCI card requires, wherein the antenna is in the back of the case, and therefore a little bit more blocked. In fact, getting a USB cable extension in which to plug the adapter is even better, because it can be hung high on the wall, affording even better reception. A bonus is, you don't have to take the side off your tower. You just stick in the little DVD that comes with it and set it up. I have them and can do it for you, or you can pick one up from Computerland in Riberas.
mexjerry
Most modern computers have an ethernet connection available, looks like a telephone jack connection, but maybe the distance from the modem prevents using that, and thats why you are looking for wireless.
