Schedule power outages in Riberas/Mirasol

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I lost power for several hours, while the CFE crew continues to replace poles and cabling. Down by the Presbyterian church there is a stack of 20 or so new poles waiting to be erected. I've had several email notices over the last few weeks, which is decent, but I am getting tired of this. It will great when finished, but hurry up already.

Today these areas affected: San Jorge lado Sur, de la Ribera, San Marcos, Santa Isabel, Santa Amelia, and half of San Luis.

and tomorrow, Calles del Pilar, Los Lirios, Los Tulipanes, Las Malvas, Tabachines, de los Angeles, de la Ribera, Paseo del Lago, San Fransisco, San Antonio, San Diego y Santa Monica.

A couple of us have noticed what appears to be "more power", or perhaps less fluctuating. One person discovered her ceiling fans moving much faster, and my own fridge suddenly started freezing things. I turned it down and all is well, so it was not a maintenance problem with the fridge.

So far, I have lost Internet for about 15 minutes, but the power is still on. So far. Water buckets are full in preparation, because I have a pump on the roof for the tinaco... when that goes off, so does the water. Good thing there is still gas for cooking and making tea...

CFE notifies customers via email. When they feel like it. My power has not gone off, but phone and Internet from TelMex, throughout Riberas and into San Antonio, have been gone most of the day (5:21 pm now).

Electricity off on Santa Margarita yesterday and today.  I commented to my gardener that this was the 6th time without electricity but he said "No, señora mucho más.". He's probably right as I was gone for a week.  No electricity = no internet, no telephone on cordless phones, no water.  I have only received notification from CFE once via a note stuck in my gate.  I hope they finish my sector soon! !!

Yep, there was no way for me to get in touch with my mechanic in San Antonio, or my Riberas customers on both sides of the highway yesterday. Phone/Internet resumed shortly after 8pm, when they finally reconnected the lines on the poles. I heard from a good source that this fairly massive band of workers are specialists who "roam the country" doing these big jobs for CFE, and so they work a bit later...
