cedros Posted September 27, 2018 Report Share Posted September 27, 2018 I've had 4 painters working outside for several weeks. I pay the contractor and he pays them. This morning heavy rain started about 8:30. I tried phoning the contractor to tell him not to send workers but all I could get was buzon de voz. Then the workers showed up and sat on the terrace for several hours. Finally I caught up with the contractor and he said I had to pay them as that is the Federal law. So I talked to my lawyer and she said I definitely did not have to pay them. We will see what happens. This American contractor has about 30 workers and doesn't pay IMSS for them.
