i second Dra. Jessica Quintanilla Flores. she one of the most caring, kind brilliant doctors i have ever met and switched to her care three years ago.

She came to all four of my operations  two years with the urologist she referred me to.

very smart  knowledgeable, each time I see for something i get excellent examination. better than any other doctor i been to lakeside.

Go to get  basic exam,  which she keeps on file, and if you get in an accident call her immediately she will have the specialists waiting in Guadalajara.

this way she has a basis to work from in an emergency..

You need to have a doctor to call in a emergency on your cell phone.

Trader ,That is good to know...however given recents events you also need to have  monies to pay for private care if you do not have Insurance!

As far as I know, Dr.Jessica Flores charges around $300 pesos for an office visit.  Very reasonable.

I was not suggesting the Dra fees are expensive..only the stay in a private hospital if you have to pay out of pocket....as a recent GOFUNDME  appeal for a local celebrity

I signed up for Seguro Popular in the case of expenses beyond normal.  I will never ask my friends and neighbors to pay for my medical expenses.  Others may feel differently or there may be special circumstances to warrant it, but I think that since the Mexican government has provided medical resources for all residents, it's better if we use them than ask for private donations. Several people I know of have had very good experiences with Seguro Popular care.

Meanwhile,  I prefer going to a private doctor for ordinary medical issues.
