Tiny
I just use whatever I find along the road. It is good for the environment. HAHAHAHA
Dostortas
They’ve decided to open Mexico’s first Ikea in Mexico City instead of Guadalajara. It’s planned for sometime in 2020. What a bummer. I was looking forward to having an ikea in Guadalajara. It was mentioned that Guadalajara and Monterrey were the next cities they intend to target.
Rony
I already get tired, simply thinking of Ikea furniture. If they launch in 2040, it will be to soon for me. I thought that by coming to Mexico I had escaped from that "cheap tasteless European stuff". In Europe, their stores have restaurants (as a part of the store), and they have decent French fries though, which compensates for the horrors of being dragged around that store. More Liana
IKEA might be facing a tougher market than one might think. Here are a few of the minimalist-ish furniture companies (all Mexican) in Mexico already. https://www.mobica.com.mx/ https://www.gaiadesign.com.mx/ http://www.marqco.com/ http://mueblesinoba.com/
DeepSouth
Surprise, everybody! As Ikea HQ announced in its pre-construction announcement about a year ago, a "large percentage" of the furniture in its Guad store will be stamped "Made in Jalisco." So...if the Swedes can make Chile Rellenos with a meatball filling, they'll do really well here. 1

mudgirl
Hey, I could use some of those- have 5 missing pieces from my scrabble set.
RVGRINGO
Those shown cannot work for Scrabble. Can you see why?
pappysmarket
No point values?
RVGRINGO
Yup! Worthless to those with a memory like mine.
mudgirl
I wouldn't mind adding the point values by hand. Used to play a scrabble-like game with friends in Canada, called Upwords. You made words which had to connect to other words, just like in Scrabble, but the letters had no point values, and the Q included the "u". The letters were large and plastic (great for us oldens with failing eyesight) and stacked- you could change a word already on the board by stacking more letters on top, but one original letter (before you stacked) had to remain as is. Each tile was the same value, you score by adding up the number of tiles in the words you made and changed. It was great fun.
Go Solar
OK so appears I got this thread off-topic with the joke image.....since it is already....., "Boggle" is also a great fun competitive word making game, either in the original physical cube version, or the electronic one for tablets / etc.
