Mainecoons Posted July 23, 2018 Report Share Posted July 23, 2018 Fastest route is via Manzanillo. 80 is a very twisty road as you go south and some sections in poor repair. Very scenic though. There is no combination of 80 and 54D. You chose which one to take when you reach the junction outside of Jocotepec. Have driven both, always use 80 when on the moto because it is a fun and challenging ride. Usually go by way of 54D in the car. Toll road to Barra saves 30-45 minutes and is much easier driving. ComputerGuy Posted July 23, 2018 Report Share Posted July 23, 2018 I am only interested in "getting there" after all these years of driving to the beach, so I always do the toll. About $400 pesos each way. You can choose then to go through Manzanillo and check out the boulevard downtown, and the beaches and restaurants at the far north end... or bypass Manzanillo and save about a half hour getting to Barra.
