Looking for someone who is good at freezing off moles

Recommended Posts

I used to get this done at LCS but the guy who did it very well for me has been replaced with someone whose results are much less satisfactory.  So I'm looking elsewhere.  Don't need some high power doctor or clinic, just a practitioner who knows how to effective freeze off moles.

Your suggestions appreciated.

Over the years that I have been using Dr. Raul, his prices have risen substantially for the ex-pat market, and his equipment has never been updated. He always did a good job, of course, but next time I will try Dermika.

I believe he still advertises in the Ojo del Lago.

Yes, we also used Dr. Raul Cuauhtemoc Reyes Reyes, on his weekly visits to Chapala.  He has removed many lesions of various types, with both cryogenic and surgical methods.  He was more efficient and thorough than the dermatologists we have used since then, in the USA.  We used to stop in at the office downstairs, sign into his appointment book for Mondays, and then just show up, upstairs on Monday, at that time. Simple.

I disagree, I think you might require a "high powered" specialist, like a qualified plastic surgeon, who can offer day surgery, freezing, and well done stiches, for large moles and skin tags. Also biopsies if he/she thinks they are necessary. Dr Ivan, a surgeon who works out of Jocotepec Hospital might fit the bill. He speaks perfect English and is smart. He could not do it under Seguro Popular (??? maybe private pay?) then he would do it in Guadalajara at a private hospital "day surgery". I had mole biopsies done many years ago, and the plastic surgeon, renting day surgery space in a hospital, coached an intern to stitch the last biopsy. It broke loose in the night, blood everywhere. The head of Emergency, in a pique of politics, refused to have his people restich it, he wanted the plastic surgeon to come in the middle of the night and "fix his mess". The next day, the surgeon got another doctor, at another hospital to redo the stiches. 24 hours in hospital, which should have taken about 2 hours. Thats the much vaunted Canadian health care system, too much back biting and political intrigue, too much management oversight from non-doctors. This also happened another time with me - same hospital, similar scenario.

Dr Marta in the clinic between the 2 hardware/materials places just west of TelMex. She is here on Thursdaysso just go in there and make an appointment. She is who the retired Dermotolgists  worked with when they did the LCS thing.

I  think that the price you qouted reflects Dermika minimum fee for minimum problema.....Most people  can expect to pay much more than 700 pesos

My husband had an appointment last week, had several removed, still only 700 pesos.
