What changes do you think will come for expats living in Mexico when AMLO takes over?

I don't know how it will affect expats, but for us immigrants, I see no changes.

None unless he makes serious progress against corruption, poverty and crime and that would be good for ALL of us.

Which might mean new fees, increased fees, reduced government services/offices to reallocate funds....

Tell it to England, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and all the other socialist countries.

You mean all those countries  that have some of the highest standards of living in the world?

You forgot Canada. Big cars, big houses, big refrigerators... and big taxes but a small population.

Smaller cars, smaller houses, smaller refrigerators etc... The only thing they have that is bigger is TAXES!

Also four weeks paid vacation. Taxes depend on more criteria than income but I presume they would pay a higher percentage than they do in the USA but have wonderful cities and subways that blew my mind when we spent 35 days recently mostly in Spain and took bus tours - one to Paris and London. The first thing I noticed is how far behind the USA is in public works compared to Spain. IMO

The only word I can think of is Dignity - a return to dignity. This not a "have" and "have nots" problem, it is not a "hope problem", it is going to be a long, hard slog requiring all Mexicans working together, possibly even sacrifices which will bind them closer together. This the appropriate solution which has one of the youngest populations and also a country which works many more hours than workers of other countries.

Neither Anaya, nor Lopez Obrador, nor Meade, nor Zalava;  can change the country, if you:
You do not study,
You do not get in line,
You do not arrive on time,
You waste water,
You do not do your job well,
You treat animals badly,
Throw trash anywhere,
Mistreat gardens and plants,
You do not fulfill the obligations of citizenship,
You park badly and in prohibited places,
And many, many more etceteras.

Mexicans expect the President to solve all of their problems when they elect him. They do NOT want to sacrifice to get to where they want to be. That is why they will always come up short. They are not prepared to give their lives so their children and grandchildren will have a better life.

Four sentences. And each one contradicts the Mexico, and Mexicans, I know.

As far as local expats, they will find U.S. cheese, pork, much more expensive than European imports. They may also find themselves using French's brand ketchup made and grown in Canada, versus U.S. Heinz. They also find out the incredible bargains buying from China "amazon", versus U.S. and Mexican Amazon.

God, I hope not. I'll gladly pay whatever for Heinz!

What do you call “Trumpism”. It seems anytime someone critizes his style of governing they are branded “socialists”. “Communism” is outdated, lets go with “socialism”. What do you call when corporations, banks, and the top 1% suck up all the wealth of the country?

By "suck up" I assume you mean produce? As in " corporations, banks, and the top 1% produce up all the wealth of the country?"
