bdmowers
Banamex wouldn`t make me a check to pay the renewed passport fee because I didn`t have picture ID other than the expired passport. A short round-the-corner trip to Spencer McMullin solved everything - gave him my old passport, 2 pictures and his fee and voila! I will have a new passport in 2 weeks. Could have saved having to have done a bevy of other tasks and the resulting months of procrastination.

ezpz
Hmmm...I'm going to need to do this soon. Does your MX Permanente Visa count as an ID with foto? Or do you need a driver's license? I don't have one because I have been without a car since I moved here.

I cannot answer your questions about ID since the young woman at Banamex would not clarify which IDs she would accept. You might try going to Banamex and asking one of the cajeros yourself.
