Deb
I have an emergency and desperately need information on how long it takes for health insurance to become active or is there a waiting period. 🤕☹️
Bandol
Depends on the company/your policy. Are you insured now? If not you might be a bit late if your emergency is current. The Bellon agency in SAT has access to various possibilities.
congodog
Yes, check with Bellon (directly across the carreterra from Superlake) for your options. My husband and I both have private insurance, from two different companies. Mine is a Mexican company and my husband's is US based. But both of us had 2 year waiting periods for some conditions. I think most have waiting periods for certain conditions. But I also think I remember that it depends on your medical history. Talk to Bellon for your particular situation. WideSky
FYI it could take up to a week to be approved. As Congodog said, there is a waiting period for some conditions, however do ask about emergencies.
