Telcel text messaging

I need to receive a text message from Europe on my telcel phone and it has to be a standard message, not what's app or the like. The sender has the correct number and tried several time and I don't get the message. Any ideas?

You can wait for the inevitable answers you will get here......or make a trip to Telcel and get it from the horse's mouth.

I am assuming the sender has verified that they have a valid international texting plan and have been advised the problem is on your end. If that's not true I would start there as Telcel is likely to tell you the problem is not on their end, LOL.

You added a 1 before your number?

E.g. 0052 1 then your Mexican number

Barcelonaman is correct. It is a fluke thing here in Mexico. The sender needs to put a "1" after the country code and prior to the area code when sending to cell phones.
