Mt. Garcia on fire

Recommended Posts

I've been watching it from San Juan Cosala. What on the north shore is it south of?

The burning has spread. Years ago I remember when the whole mountain was on fire for a long time.

Interesting side note: Years ago the GR article said the bomberos hate fighting a fire there as there were too many rattlesnakes. I hope they have snakeproof gaiters. I am always amazed that snakes seem to survive the brush fires.

It is probably the same guy sets them year after year.

Someone mentioned on a Facebook group that there was also a fire in an empty lot in Cielo Vista today!

This is a thread from LAST year about Mount Garcia which is on the SOUTH side of the lake. It has nothing to do with the current fire situation.

Whoops!  Went and looked for smoke on Mt. Garcia and saw none.  Now I see why.  :)

What’s the situation of the mountain fire coming over the ugly road we have had helicopters all day long dumping water on it.
