nana
Did you ever receive a warning from Windows asking you to call a 800 number to report that your computer is at risk because you are infected with a virus. They use a voice and windows to pass their message. They say that your computer will be locked if you don't call that number?

ComputerGuy
Yes, a scam, and it has been around for awhile in various forms. They will insist they are an official Windows support service, and they will want money. They never actually say they are with Microsoft. Nothing will happen: simply delete anything from them and carry on.
nana
Thank you! Unbelievable all those gimmicks. That's what happened. We ignored and deleted.
gdl80
Make sure you use a good anti-virus software to keep your computer clean. Malwarebytes or Norton seem to work for me. Don't click on links sent in emails ( could be bad websites), keep your computer updated. So many scams nowadays.
