cookj5 Posted April 8, 2018 Report Share Posted April 8, 2018 My wife and I have a couple of unfinished bookshelves we bought from a carpenter shop recently. We are looking for polyurethane finish. One brand we know is Varathane, but there may be other brands. It provides a very tough surface and shows off wood nicely. Does anyone know where to find it Lakeside? Ferret Posted April 8, 2018 Report Share Posted April 8, 2018 In the small paint store opposite the second floor gym in west Ajijic, I bought Minwax brand water based Polycrylic in clear satin. It was also the only place that had Minwax wood stains lakeside. Wish I had a phone number to save you the trouble of going there. Sorry. It's not polyurethane but may be a good substitute.
