RickS
Ditto. That’s too serious of a question to rely on Forum answers... (unless it is a local unnamed attorney or a Notario).
daisy2013
I just asked about the same thing. To change name the notario told me they take the assest value from your latest property tax bill and multiply this by 4% more or less. Actually the quote I received was almost 4%. hope this helps but remember not all notario charge the same thing. I did get 2 quotes
bmh
It is better to do a will and forget changing the name.. All it takes to change is money..
Intercasa
It can be done but if married under community property then there could be some catches, underlying question of why is important to ask.

Even if it is in the will, it is still a name change. Pay now or have someone else pay later.
