Aquaponicsman
I used to buy my Nori seaweed wrap for Sushi at the Gourmet shop next to HSBC (ironically also next to the Sushi restaurant) but the Gourmet shop has since closed and Superlake claims not to carry it (at least according to the expert there with whom I spoke.) Any alternative suggestions for bamboo sushi-mat investors?
ComputerGuy
I buy it regularly at SuperLake, but who knows how they are stocking these days. There is a small Asian section if WalMart that carries it, too. I think it's beside the tuna fish.
tiapippy
Oso's Cremeria on Calle Morelos in Jocotepec carries it. It's located on the right-hand side of the store directly across from the freezer with frozen vegetables and fruit.
Ukiyo
It is a bit far from Chapala area but there are stores called Toyo Foods in GDL/Zapopan where you can find bamboo mats and related items. If you are not in a hurry, I can get you the one from Japan in Feb for free because it small, light and cheap. I can show you how to prepare sushi in an authentic way (not American or Mexican style), if you are take an interest, pls pm.
