cedros
Crow and Raven are different species but here they are called the same-Cuervo. Does any one know the proper Spanish name for Raven?
cedros
Since my post I've noticed that Raven is always called Cuervo. Crow is often called the same but sometimes Corneja.

modeeper
That's right. The locals have a far less detailed species classification list. Not just animals. There's a rule in linguistics that states, the more words a culture has for an item the more interest there is in that item. They have 40 words for children, some are based in indigenous language groups but just about everyone knows a bunch of them. So look where we Gringos stand .. Children, kids, offspring, drape apes, rug rats. I can't think of any more.
