geeser
A friend wants to have someone convert his VHS movies to DVD. Anyone know a technician who'll do this and what the cost might be?
Ferret
I understood that LCS did this. I would also like to convert some VHS to DVD... one of the VHS tapes was already converted from reel to reel. Technology is moving way too fast for some things. I hope somebody has the information that you are seeking so that I may also benefit from it.
johanson
Check at the LCS Library They may still be doing this. There was a small charge for the service.
Alfa
The LCS is definitely still copying VHS to DVD. The charge is 50p per tape for members and slightly more for non-members. Anyone an bring their tapes to the LCS Video library anytime during their normal hours.
Ferret
Thanks! I'm gonna get at quickly before I'm stuck with VHS tapes that are only good for bookends.
ezpz
I needed that done for a video that I am actually in. Note: the copying at LCS will enable you to watch the video on a DVD player, but it will not convert the video to an actual computer file, as I wanted, so I could cut still fotos out of the video. That is more pricey, Benno's quoted me around $300pesos and they/you had to have a Video player to copy it from real time, which is time consuming. That was several years ago. miraval52
I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder that I am willing to sell for $2500 pesos. As long as you have a VHS player to plug into it, you could convert your own VHS movies to DVD´s.
