camillenparadise
Sounds like an oxymoron, right? They are plastic, usually round, filled with some kind of goop that stays frozen for quite a while. When they thaw, you just re-freeze and happily enjoy your next cocktail. Anything like that available here?

johanson
I bought mine maybe 15 years ago in Mexico, and I have no idea where. It was probably from Sam's Club or some other large store in Guadalajara. I am glad to see Amazon growing in Mexico. I have used them for years up North and am glad I will be able to continue lakeside, as many of you have been doing.
Bisbee Gal
I was surprised to find them at the dollar store Ajijic plaza a few months ago. Multi-colored 1" cubes, 16 pc in mesh bag 29 pesos. There were hanging up on the wall of kitchen gadgets.
El Bizco
Be sure to buy well made ones. Anyone else remember about 50 years ago when these things first appeared that they were filled with water from Hong Kong bay-- the cheap plastic seams would leak contaminating your drink. Lotta people got sick and the product was banned.

AngusMactavish
Those type of cubes are only to not dilute the drink. They offer no more cooling than strait ice.
Artlife
I just saw them last week at Wal-Mart on Lopez Mateos, they are probably at the local store too.

AngusMactavish
Just now, tomgates said: Just use some clean rocks. The total disregard for the latent heat of fusion. The change of state from solid to liquid is what cools the drinks, not the thermal mass.
kgreenbury
I use the freezie pops you can buy at the tiangui. You can reuse a few times and, if they do leak, it's nothing I'd worry about ingesting. Just adds a slightly different flavour.
