I read the poster on their FB page to say they have opened a second location on Independencia.  The two locations have different hours but presumably the same items.

It looks like either the people from the French bakery have taken over #4's Facebook identity or Yann & Gabby have something to do with the new place at 2 Independencia.

Well dear Guests and Friends,

We promised we would be back, and finally here we are. 

Well, not exactly as originally planned, and taking much longer than anticipated. The good news is we had a long time to think (and hopefully learn), get some good advice and make some smart decisions. So rather than be burden with the “4” legacy, we kept the best and got rid of the rest.  With this new, better location, we decided to implement this fresh start in four steps, and today we are pleased to officially announce the 1st exciting step. The second step is nearing completion and will be announced next month. Stay tuned. 

Without further ado, we are glad to announce the opening of the 2nd location of “La Vie en Rose”, in the heart of Ajijic, on Thursday, August 24. This Boulangerie - Patisserie Française will feature the same high quality products you have come to know and expect from Chef Frederic (the owner of La Vie en Rose,  Ajijic West). Sticking with traditions and what has worked for centuries in the old country: all Breads, Patisserie and Viennoiserie are made daily, using fresh, all natural ingredients. 

To celebrate their 2nd anniversary Chef Frederic also started a new Macaron line, and so far they have all disappeared well before noon at the west Ajijic location.

La Vie en Rose, downtown is also offering breakfast, including some delicious French crepes, (the real thing indeed), as well as freshly baked Gauffres, (it is also the real thing, from Belgium). 

Nowadays, one food trend offers 30 (even 75 variations) of an ingredient. Really!! Of course having choices is good, but we do not subscribe to the numbers game, and do prefer quality over quantity. We prefer to feature a few un”4”gettable dishes rather than 50 forgettable ones. If it tastes good most people will like it. We have also included an organic vegetarian crepe, and we are currently developing a gluten-free version, (available within a month).

From the plaza, going down Colón, make a right on the 2nd street called Independencia (the last street before the Malecon), 20 meters on the left, it’s #2 with black double doors.

Les prometimos que volveríamos, y finalmente aquí estamos.

No fue exactamente como lo planeamos, y nos tomó mucho más de lo previsto. La buena noticia es que tuvimos mucho tiempo para pensar (y aprender), obtener algunos buenos consejos y tomar algunas decisiones inteligentes. Así que en lugar de tener una carga con el legado "4", mantuvimos lo mejor y nos deshicimos del resto. Con esta nueva y mejor ubicación, decidimos implementar este nuevo comienzo en cuatro pasos, y hoy nos complace anunciar oficialmente el primer paso emocionante. El segundo paso está a punto de finalizar y será anunciado el próximo mes. Manténganse al tanto. Sin lugar a dudas, nos complace anunciar la apertura de la segunda ubicación de "La Vie en Rose", en el corazón de Ajijic, el jueves 24 de agosto.

Esta Boulangerie - Patisserie Française contará con los mismos productos de alta calidad que han llegado a conocer y de lo que se espera del Chef Frederic (el propietario de la Vie en Rose de Ajijic Oeste. Siguiendo con las tradiciones y lo que ha funcionado durante siglos en el viejo país de Francia: todos los panes, pastelería y Viennoiserie se hacen a diario, con ingredientes frescos, todos naturales.

Para celebrar su segundo aniversario, el chef Frederic también comenzó una nueva línea de Macarons, y hasta ahora todos han desaparecido antes del mediodía en el oeste de Ajijic.

La Vie en Rose, en el centro de la ciudad también ofrece desayuno, incluyendo algunos deliciosas crepas francesas, (las reales), así como recién horneados Gauffres, (los originales de Bélgica).

Hoy en día, una locación de alimentos ofrece 30 (incluso 75 variaciones) de un solo ingrediente. ¡¡De Verdad!! Por supuesto, tener opciones es bueno, pero no nos suscribimos al juego de números, y preferimos la calidad sobre la cantidad. Preferimos presentar unos cuantos platillos inolvidables que 50 olvidables. Si sabe bien, a la mayoría le gustará. También hemos incluido una crepa vegetariana orgánica, y actualmente estamos desarrollando una versión sin gluten (disponible en un mes).

Desde la plaza, bajando por Colón, giren a la derecha en la 2ª calle llamada Independencia (la última calle antes del Malecón), y a 20 metros a la izquierda, es el número 2 con puertas dobles de color negro.

Absolutely hilarious that, rather than "be burden (sic) with the #4 legacy", they sent out a group mailing under the #4 banner, told us how #4 is back but in a different way, and are offering "un4gettable" dishes. They are even doing it in four steps... .

How 4tunate 4 us they have the 4sight to make the e4t to in4m us they have trans4med themselves.  I look 4ward to 4kfuls of un4getable com4t food at more a4dable prices than be4 at their 4mer location.  And maybe not so 4mal.
