ComputerGuy
The park flooded once in the 20 years I've been here. And we won't see the lake that level again for years. It does seem odd, however, to make benches out of material that doesn't last, although I have seen no indication of that. What seating? The benches along the concrete walkway are iron, are they not? The benches on the Malecon walkway next to the lake itself are made of a wood like material, with slats that are all out of alignment and sagging. In the other areas, they are metal, in good shape and recently repainted.
Metuchenmama
Worse yet. The two bridges on the Ajijic malecon are disintegrating. The one near the skateboard park actually has a good sized hole in the center and several other spots that will soon follow suit. Both the bridges are dangerous.
