mexilady
My friend in California with a Jalisco-plated car has a Mexican buyer in Tijuana, who would register it with Baja plates. Does anyone know the required steps in the ownership transfer process? Is there anyone local who might serve as an agent or go-between to ensure this deal is properly done? Thanks for any info or leads!
El Cartero
I think you need, as agent, someone in Baja. It is, I feel, an expensive process for the buyer. Buyer needs to ensure the vehicle has no fees owing in Jalisco. Turns in the plates. Then he needs to buy new plates and register the car in Baja. The time factor in the latter is a day in your life of waiting. Luck!
El Saltos
For local assitance talk to Spencer. The transfer is the buyer's responsibility.
