Bisbee Gal
I saw this article online about an event in October 2013. It looks like it was a fabulous exhibit. Has it become an annual event or was it a one-time deal? It's always a surprise to me to see what mistaken ideas foreigners have about catrinas. Here's a link to an article that explains the origin and history of the catrina, why the skeletal figure is called by that name, and why it is neither emblematic of death nor connected to Day of the Dead celebrations other than by recently popular use.http://mexicocooks.typepad.com/mexico_cooks/2016/10/the-catrina-mexicos-iconic-legacy-from-josé-guadalupe-posada.html
