Cincy
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I might get my eye glasses repaired in the Lakeside area? Just need a new nylon lens band retainer - 3 minute job at places NOB.
Lakesider
That little yellow-painted shop located at the corner of Colon and 16 de Septiembre in Ajijic fixed my glasses (loose nylon band) while I waited.
ibarra
In addition to the post by Lakesider, try the search feature. There are several options for eyeglass repair lakeside. One of the locations may be closer to you.

I got them fixed here. Probably the worst $100 MXN I have spent in Mexico! It took the guy 1 hour to fix them using far too thin nylon and now the glass is loose and could easily drop out! I cannot recommend this place...!!! Sam's Club used to fixed them for free while I waited, NOB.
Arroyos
Did you try Pinto Optical in Riberas on the Carretera, across from Mom's Restaurant.
Cincy
It was Saturday, I was desperate and Pinto Optical was closed unfortunately!
ComputerGuy
Optica Cordona, on Hidalgo 222-B. Just east of Spencer's office, pretty much across from the Ojo del Lago/Coldwell Banker offices as you come into Chapala from the west. He has quickly fixed any number of basic eyeglass problems for me, from replacing screws to nose pads. For a tip, no less. And he is never busy. But he lives in Guadalajara, so usually by 2pm he is gone.
