Metuchenmama
There is a wonderful new restaurant, Emma's Deli, that has opened on Ramon Corona 3 doors up from the former Thai restaurant and almost directly across from Tabarka.. The food is good and the prices very reasonable. Having eaten there twice along with a few others, we look forward to returning and trying different things. So far we have tried the chicken soup with matzoh balls. The matzoh balls are huge. The small bowl is 55P and the large 75P. You get two matzoh balls in the small and 3 in the large. We have enjoyed pastrami sandwiches, delicious roast beef sandwiches that have carmelized onions, cheese and spinach to add to the taste. The beef is very tender. Coleslaw comes on the side. The grilled chicken sandwich is VERY good. It also has carmalized onions, cheese and spinach to enhance the flavor. It is not easy to choose from the offerings as they are all enticing. Gracias This is in Ajijic. If you were driving past LCS on 16 de Septiembre and turned right at their corner (Ramon Corona), you would pass the former Simply Thai restaurant (building for sale) and a few doors later, across from the new Tabarka location, you'd see "Emma's Deli". BTW, I haven't been there yet. I'll report after trying it.

gringal
Best matzo ball soup EVER. Don't miss it. Cozy decor; softly playing New York show tunes. Comfortable seating; good service. Pretzels served. Very generous sandwiches; reasonable prices. Went there last week and ordered a cheese dog. You need to be really hungry to tackle that one! Oversized dog; good quality, surrounded in giant bun by cheese and caramelized onions. All delicious, but good and messy. Choice of coleslaw or potato salad; both excellent. Great addition to the eatery scene.
bdlngton
I had a great pastrami sandwich there today. Rye bread with quite a large portion of excellent pastrami. Best pastrami sandwich I have found at Lakeside so far. I'll definitely be back.
