johanson
I stopped off to top off the tank with Magna at the local gas station in Ajijic. And the attendant said that there was no Magna. I asked him if this was a local problem or were many stations running short. He said he did not know. Only that his boss said they had no Magna when he came to work and that they would have some later. When I asked when, he said he had no idea, but he hoped soon. Anyone else run into this problem? Sure hope it is localized.
Mainecoons
Maybe the record levels of gasoline theft from pipelines has something to do with it. http://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/huachicoleros-persist-setting-new-records/ Quote The states with the highest incidence are Guanajuato, Puebla, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Estado de México, Hidalgo and Jalisco. pappysmarket
Just got $700 today in PV and no mention of a shortage. No sign of our Costco building gas pumps yet.

johanson
Good to hear. Having lived through a shortage up north many years ago I am glad my fears were not grounded by facts.

Jistme
Last week a trip to the airport cost 500pesos from San Antonio, most I've paid in my ten years here. Taxi driver explained that the cost of gas has gone up, thus the higher price. Taxi on the return to San Antonio on Saturday from the airport cost 420 pesos, curious. Neither trip was an early morning or a late night.
